How To: Newborn chin in hands pose | slc newborn photographer

I have had quite a few people ask me how to achieve 'THE' Newborn pose...  There are a few ways to do it, but this is how I do it.  Its safer and easier {for me}.
Enjoy!

I take two photos, one with a helper holding baby's head and one with helper holding baby's hands. In post I merge the two and create the final image!

Here is a better look at the final image:

Princess Avae {6 days} | slc newborn photographer

This little lady was so beautiful, I had the honor of shooting her newborn photos 6 days after she was born. I was so excited when I got the message that she was born! I had never shot a newborn girl until now! and I will tell you, it is definitely different! It's alot harder to pose baby, AND worry about how the headband or the tutu looks. But can I just say:

I LOVE MY JOB!
Look at these adorable photos of Miss Princess Avae:

Baby boy {7 days new} | slc newborn photographer

This little man was such a joy to work with! He was so easy to pose and he just stayed fast asleep! Until we wanted to take his diaper off, then we was wide awake 'drizzling' all over dad. :P Take a look at how cute this little guys face is! :)

New little Guy {slc newborn photographer}

This little man was so much fun to work with!  He was one of the strongest week olds I have ever met!  I had a hard time posing him at all, let alone the pose we were going for! ha  Take a look at this little guy!

Amanda and Emerson | slc portrait photographer

Amanda is a great friend of mine, and when we decided to do her maternity photos I instantly started thinking of ideas!  Here are just a few of my very favorites from her photo shoot!

Keep an eye out from miss Emersons debut to the world, coming this December!
